• The canoe above the boardroom table was crafted by students & their teacher in a wood shop class at IE Weldon and was re-purposed for this space.

  • The mantle uses wood from a Douglas-fir, which was locally sourced and crafted by Woodview Farms

  • The boardroom table was crafted from walnut and features an exact and scalable map of Kawartha Lakes, crafter by local innovator and artisan, Dan Kitchen

  • Only local trades, suppliers, and artisans were used in the design, construction, and furnishing of the LAUNCH Kawartha office spaces & Innovation Hub

  • The KLCFDC invested in Dan's first CNC machine, which he used while crafting this table, re-purposing parts from the original KLCFDC boardtoom table – A true success story!

  • This space aims to bring the natural elements of the region inside to acknowledge this beautiful place we all call home

  • Local businesses, entrepreneurs & community groups can rent and use the boardroom space for an hour, half-day or full-day for their meeting, presentation or event

  • Innovation Hub members and partner businesses can use the fully-integrated boardroom free of charge for their meetings or events

  • The lounge chairs offer a comfortable meeting and waiting space for visitors and Hub members, and were locally sourced from Kate & Co.

  • The fireplace was locally sourced by Fire or Ice and brings warmth to the lounge, signifying it as a gathering place

  • The chairs in the kitchen were custom-designed for this space by local furniture manufacturer, Holsag

  • Indigenous Artist Nuin Tara Wilson for the commissioned Boardroom painting to pay respects to the land upon which we work and play
